Located on the border between Mie and Nara prefectures, Mitake Sakura in Mitake, Misugi-cho, Tsu TsuCity, is a popular cherry blossom spot with a tree-lined path of about 400 wild cherry trees. It has been designated as one of the "100 Best Cherry Blossom Spots" by the national government, and is a famous cherry blossom spot that marks the end of the cherry blossom viewing season in Mie Prefecture.
Along the 1.5km approach to Shinpuku-in Temple from the Ise Honkaido Highway, old moss-covered trees that evoke a sense of history are blooming in magnificent blossoms, which you can enjoy as you stroll through a tunnel of cherry blossoms. The wild cherry blossoms reflected in the rice paddies beside the approach provide a spectacular view like no other.
The cherry blossoms of Santake are gradually blooming towards the approach to Shinpuku-in Temple, and as of April 10th, they are starting to fall near Kagamiyama, are at their best near the parking lot, and are 40 to 70 percent in bloom around Shinpuku-in Temple, and will continue to be at their best in the future. Some of the early-blooming cherry blossoms have started to fall, and you can see the beautiful petals fluttering in the air.
