Mt. Amokake is a rare mountain where nature remains throughout the mountain. You can easily enjoy nature from Mt. Asama to Mt. Amokake and Momiji Valley. In autumn, the slopes turn red and you will be overwhelmed by its beauty. The approximately 1km-long maple clump discovered by a local mountain climbing enthusiast shows off its wonderful autumn leaves.

Get off at Aso Station on the JR Kisei Main Line

Access information by car

From the Kisei Expressway Omiya Odai IC, take National Route 42 towards Owase, turn left at the traffic light "Aso Onsenmae", cross the JR railroad crossing, and turn right at the fork to reach the Taiki Minamijima Line. There is an information board and parking lot (30 spaces) at 200m.
