[Tonomiya Shiho Shrine] Mizutori Shinto ritual (Kisaragi Shinto ritual)

Date: February 2, 2025

A funeral service is held on the first Sunday of February every year.
The water in February, which coincides with the Lunar New Year, is said to be the most powerful water of the year, and is said to be ``water that creates the strength to live.''

The Mizatori Shinto ritual is a traditional Shinto ritual in which a person's entire life is filled with water, which is drunk for nine days, and absorbed into the body to wash away ``misfortune (8 and 9) and bitterness (9)''. On the day of the shrine, many people come to worship, including people who are suffering from bad years, those who are in trouble, students taking entrance exams, and business owners who need calm judgment.

Please pray for good health and mental health throughout the year.

Shinto ritual service time: From 11am (sacred service will be held even if it rains)
