It is a traditional performing art based in Tayu, KuwanaCity, which is said to have traveled around the country handing out amulets from IseJingu since the Edo period. It consists of two main parts: a dance (shishimai) and a song (hōkagei) that are used to exorcise various disasters, and during festivals and other events, the venue is excited by the performance, which is skillfully mixed with dance and other dances.

The songs used in the danga are valuable as materials for early modern street performances, and even today they tour the Kinki and Hokuriku regions in units called gumi from KuwanaCity.
It was designated as a national important intangible folk custom on January 21, 1981 (Showa 56).

*In case of rain, the dedication will be held without spectators.
