This is an autumn festival held at shrines with connections to Nigatsu-do Hall of Todai-ji Temple and Shogatsu-do Hall of Kanbodaiji Temple in Nara.
8:30 a.m.…Mikoshi togyo
12:00 p.m.…Children’s portable shrine passing
2:30 p.m.…Mikoshi and children’s mikoshi return
2:45 p.m.…Children’s shrine goddess music offering
3:00 p.m. …Reitaisai Saigon
3:15pm…Shishikagura dedication
4:00 p.m. ... Votive Mochi Throwing
*The mikoshi will be paraded through the Shimagahara grounds one after another!

The sight of a young man carrying a 560 kg mikoshi up the 125 stone steps while shouting chants is very brave. (It's a steep stone staircase)
The ``Lion Dance'' performed by four lions has been designated as an intangible folk cultural property of IgaCity. It seems that the lion dance was started during the Kyoho era under the influence of the lion dance of Aekuni-JinjaShrine. Lion dances include Daiko-mae, Godan Kagura, Ken-no-mai, Shishi-odori, Hanataka, and Aramai.
