Sending the wishes of Owase children into the Tanabata night sky

● International Symposium Commemorating the 20th Anniversary of the Kumano Kodo World Heritage Registration [Hours] 13:00 - 16:00 (Organized by Mie Prefecture)
To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Kumano Kodo World Heritage registration, we will be holding an international symposium, inviting people from the Basque Country in Spain, which is home to the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela! (Free admission)

We are celebrating our 20th anniversary at the same place where we celebrated the Kumano Kodo being registered as a World Heritage Site in 2004!
Enjoy food and drinks while watching the Sky Lanterns® floating in the sky!
There will also be a "Dance Marche" on stage, celebrating with kids' dance, hula dancing, Soran Bushi, and other dances!

● Make a wish on a Sky Lantern®
○ <Lighting and launch> 18:30~
We asked all nursery schools, Hinokikoko kindergartens, elementary and junior high schools OwaseCity to create 100 Sky Lanterns®, and had them draw their hopes and thoughts for the "future of Owase" and "themselves in the future" on them!
The original Sky Lanterns® created by children will be sent into the Tanabata night sky.
The sight of it swaying gently and rising slowly into the sky is a mystical sight. It's sure to look great on social media!
