What kind of campsite is "Offroad Land Mio"?

``Offroad Land Mio'' is a campsite that is open to the general public and is the second branch of the subscription-based campsite ``Woods Land Mio'' (available to members only). As the name suggests, the course originally used for off-road races remains, so you can experience off-roading (running on the course) with your own car or motorcycle.

The biggest feature is that you can check in and check out at any time during the camp schedule! It's great that you don't have to rush to clean up the next day and can play until sunset!

Camping with pets is also OK! Furthermore, there are no additional fees depending on the number of people or tents. The fee is for 1 car and 1 motorcycle, so it is a budget-friendly campsite.

playing in the river

Play in the clear stream where amago also swim!

There is a clear stream where you can play in the river. I think children can play in the shallow waters where the current is calm, but they may slip on rocks and stones, and some parts are deep, so adults should always keep an eye on them!

There were also many baby fish swimming in the river. It's fun to look for freshwater crabs and fish while playing in the river! Apparently there are amago swimming in it too, so it's a really beautiful river!

Spacious campsite that doesn't feel cramped

``Off Road Land Mio'' is a campsite with a high degree of freedom. There are two free sites (Hidamari area and Harappa area) where cars can be parked and parked alongside, and a riverside site where cars are not allowed, and it is also possible to pitch a tent on the other off-road courses. There are no divisions, so you can set up anywhere! You can enjoy camping in a relaxed manner without feeling cramped!

Hidamari area

This is a free site on the lawn closest to the entrance. In other words, this is the area furthest from facilities such as reception and toilets. You can drive in and park your car next to it! There is enough space for about 10 groups to set up a large tent. It seems like it would be possible for a group to use the Hidamari area exclusively!

Harappa area

This is the largest free lawn site. You can drive in and park your car next to it! There are two ways to go down to the river, so if you want to play in the river, this site is recommended! At peak times, about 20 groups can be set up, but the manager wants people to enjoy a relaxing camping experience, so they limit the number of groups to the number they can afford at the time of reservation.

Kawahara site

This is a site where you can set up in front of a clear stream. Cars are not allowed. Also, the entrance to this riverside site requires some steep stairs, so if you have small children, I think it would be safer to go to another site.

Limited to 1 group? ! Kawara chip site is first come, first served!

Although it is not listed on the site map, the most recommended site is the "Kawara Chip Site" that I used this time! As the name suggests, it is laid with tile chips, so it has good drainage, and is conveniently located close to the administration building, toilets, and kitchen.

There was a thunderstorm during my stay, but after the rain stopped there was no standing water and the wet tile chips dried quickly. (The photo was taken after torrential rain)

This is the most recommended site, but space is limited to one group, so first come, first served.

From the entrance, follow the "Reception" information board to the back and you will find the administration building. There is a dedicated kitchen for washing dishes. There is also hot water, so it is comfortable even in winter. Sponges, dish detergent, and hand soap are provided. This water is not potable, so please bring your own drinking water.

If you are out of supplies such as detergent, please contact the manager.

woodshed

We also sell firewood. Oh my God! You can fill your basket as much as you like for 1,000 yen! Apparently it's OK to put a heaping amount on it. Unlike firewood sold at home centers, etc., the size of firewood varies and many are relatively large, so you will have to chop it yourself. You can also try chopping firewood using this firewood!

Off-road course

There is a facility unique to this campsite that cannot be found in a regular campsite, and that is an off-road course! The total length is 1.2km and the course width is 4-5m! If you would like to drive your own car, you can use it for 500 yen per lap! Alternatively, there is also an all-you-can-run plan for 3,000 yen per day. (Cannot be used when the campsite is crowded)

*For the sake of local residents, competition bikes are not allowed.

Although it is irregular, we also hold off-road bike trial events, so if you are interested, please contact us.

Because it is a campsite where you can play overwhelmingly freely.

As long as you reserve your camping date, there are no check-ins or check-outs, and there are no designated areas. "Offroad Land Mio" is a campsite with an overwhelmingly high degree of freedom. As a result, the number of staff and facilities are at a minimum. There is an ash dump site, but there are no trash cans, so please take your trash home with you.

Since this is a campground with a high degree of freedom, good manners are important for those who use it. There are no divisions, so you want to maintain a sense of distance from other campers and have fun together!

"Off Road Land Mio" does not have shower rooms or bathing facilities. This is because the manager wants you to use the surrounding facilities if you have come to Off-Road Land Mio.Please feel free to use the nearby bathing facilities.
