In early spring, the famous weeping plum tree blooms in large pink flowers at Suzuka Forest Garden.
The park is open to the public for a limited time to coincide with the blooming of the weeping plum trees, and will open on Saturday, February 17th in 2024.

You are free to stroll around the park during opening hours. Please enjoy Plum Grove Park, one of the largest in the Tokai area with more than 4,000 plum trees of 100 varieties in full bloom.

Approximately 300 "weeping plums" and 80 plum trees of 10 different types are planted in the precincts of the shrine garden, and each year they are in full bloom around mid-February and can be enjoyed until mid-March. The best time to see the 300 weeping plum trees is in early March.

At Sugawara Shrine, which is affectionately known as Kokubu's Tenjin, approximately 350 weeping plum trees donated by parishioners and worshipers are in full bloom on the grounds. You can enjoy a variety of scenery from white to pale pink to deep peach.

There are approximately 330 ``weeping plums'' in the plum garden in the village. In normal years, the best time to see them is from mid-February. There is a plum orchard with about 30 plum trees in the Kitaimaru ruins (Kuruwa placed on the west side of the main enclosure) in Matsusaka Park (Matsuzaka Castle ruins), and red and white plums bloom from mid-February to early March every year. Masu.

The name ``Garyu plum'' comes from the fact that its branches spread out horizontally and resemble a reclining dragon, about 2 meters tall.

The ``Plum Garden'' is open only during the blooming period at ``Red Hill Heather Forest'' in Akatsuka Botanical Garden's satoyama. The approximately 3,000 m2 plum garden has weeping plums such as Kureha weeping, Ryokugaku weeping, and Namba weeping, as well as standing plums such as Kagoshima Beni, Ichieno plum, Mangetsu, and Shirakaga. A total of 50 plum trees are planted.

A 180-year-old cherry tree blooms, including summer solstice plum (white), Hatomo plum (pink), Naniwa red plum (red), and 13 plum trees in the plum garden and 30 in the surrounding area.

This is the burial place of Kaneyoshi Yoshida, famous as the author of ``Tsurezuregusa.'' Plum trees are planted here and there in the park, and the park is crowded with people during the blooming season.
