A large cedar tree located in a forest about 500 meters up a steep slope from the bus terminal is located in a valley deep in the mountains that is further up from the Miyagawa Dam Reservoir, which is far from the beaten path.
This large cedar tree, which is said to be over 1,000 years old, is located in the forest adjacent to the Osugidani campsite, and is carefully protected by the locals as the sacred kounogi of Osugi Shrine.
Also, since this area was rich in large trees, it is said that lumber was cut several times for IseJingu Shrine to serve as its sacred mountain.
The nearby Osugidani Campground also has a stream flowing nearby, making it a hidden spot where you can enjoy deep nature.
It was designated as a prefectural natural monument on April 7, 1955 (S30).

You can view and edit the sightseeing route (My Plan on My Page) that will take you around the selected spots.
