Ishiyakushi Ichirizuka was originally located on the west bank of Kamagawa River, and Enoki trees were once planted on both sides of Tokaido.
According to records, the Enoki tree was broken by the Ise Bay Typhoon, and after the war, only its base remained on the north side.
However, since then it has disappeared, so in 1972 young Enoki trees were planted on the south side and a monument was erected to mark the ``Historic Site of Ishiyakushi Ichirizoku Ruins'' in an effort to preserve it.
