Kasato Shrine Kasadojinja

Kasato Shrine
Kasato Shrine

The main deity is Nihon Takeru, and it was called Mikasa-dono-sha in ancient times. Atsutane Hirata, a Japanese scholar in the late Edo period, wrote in his ``Mikasadonsha Originki'' (1829) that illnesses such as tumors had miraculous powers. It is said that there were Wabun Shrine and Keizan Haiji Temple within the precincts.
In 1873, the company name was changed from ``Kasado'' to its current name, and in 1908, 16 nearby shrines were enshrined there, resulting in its current appearance. In the same year, it was promoted to village company.

There is a Takamiya museum exhibiting pottery excavated from the Shiiyama River Medieval Tomb within the temple grounds.
