Ship-shaped clay

We have a permanent display of ship-shaped clay vessels (nationally designated important cultural properties) excavated from the Takarazuka Tumulus.
The gallery is housed in the former Kanebo Cotton Yarn Matsusaka Factory Cotton Yarn Warehouse (a nationally registered tangible cultural property) built in 1920, and is used as a place for citizens' artistic activities.
In 2024, 278 haniwa clay figures excavated from Takarazuka Tomb No. 1 in Mie Prefecture were designated as national treasures.

For Matsusaka tourist information, visit the Matsusaka sightseeing information site Wakuwaku Matsusaka.

You can view and edit the sightseeing route (My Plan on My Page) that will take you around the selected spots.
