It was built in 1936, when the water supply system was first installed in the former Ueno City, and was used until the late 1950s.
Designated as a nationally registered cultural property.
You can see it from the outside, but you can't go inside.

Detailed information
・Take the bus bound for Ueno Sangyo Kaikan from JR Kansai Main Line "Iga-Ueno Station" and get off at "Suigenchi-mae" for 2 minutes.
・About 15 minutes by car from Meihan National Highway "Ueno IC" or "Ueno Higashi IC"
Please park in the parking lot of the Ueno Workers' Sports Center.
