Asahi AsahiTown Museum

The former village office building of Asahi Village was an inn between Kuwana-juku and Yokkaichi-juku.
Built in 1912, it is a two-story wooden building with a tiled roof, hipped roof, and clapboard cladding, with a gabled entryway in the center of the front.
This is an example that clearly conveys the characteristics of local government building architecture, where the downstairs is used as offices and the upper floor is used as a meeting hall.
