Tokaido (AsahiTown)
Tokaido (AsahiTown)

Based on Tokaido post station system in 1601, when transportation routes across the country were being developed and the three roads of Tokai, Higashiyama, and Hokuriku were being repaired, mounds were built every mile and Enoki trees were planted on top. I used it as a guidepost. nao is ShichirinoWatashi, Nishi-Tonda Koshinbashi milestone, and is said to be the most beautiful place on the way, with mounds built on both sides and thick Enoki trees.
Asahi-AsahiTown, which also appeared in Tokaido Chuuhizakurige by Ikku Jukkasha, is located between Kuwana-juku and Yokkaichi-juku on Tokaido, and there were teahouses and basket shops selling the famous grilled clams that catered to passing travelers. It was very lively.
