Date: Every fourth Sunday in October (Sunday, October 27, 2024) from 10:00

On this day, at Mt. Ise, the Mecca of Shugendo, the leaders in yamabushi costume close the door of the main hall of the Iwaya.
Approximately 1,300 years ago, a Goma-burning memorial service and a firewalk were held in front of the Iifukuda Temple Mido, which is said to have been opened by Enno Ozunu, the founder of Shugendo, and local residents prayed for a bumper harvest. It is a day to pray for good health, health, and safety in the mountains.
(The mountain climbing area on Mt. Ise can be accessed all year round.)

You can view and edit the sightseeing route (My Plan on My Page) that will take you around the selected spots.
