Mt. Tado is a mountain where trail running competitions are held, and the difficulty level varies depending on the course. The mountain has few large steps, so you can enjoy climbing with your children and your beloved dog.
Althoughit is a low mountain, if the weather is good you can see the city of Nagoya from the top.The climbing route is clear and there are many climbers as it is a popular mountain, so you can climb it with confidence, so why not make it yourfirst time climbing?
There are two climbing courses for Mt. Tado that can be climbed from KuwanaCity side. There are two routes: the ``Enjoy the View Course,'' which climbs a slope that is accessible by car, and the``Healthy Legs Course'', which climbs a slightly rugged and gentle slope.
This time, I enjoyed climbing on the "Healthy Legs Course"!Either route will take you to the top of the mountain in about 30 to 60 minutes. For physical strengthIf you are unsure, please try the "Enjoy the View Course" first!
About access, parking, and toilets
Access and parking
“Healthy Legs Course”Love宕We will start from the trailhead next to the shrine! Google MapsLove宕You can find it by searching for "Jinja Line Parking Lot."There is parking space for approximately 15 cars.If the trail is full, you can park at the "View Enjoyment Course" side parking lot or the "Pocket Park Parking Lot" and then walk to the trailhead for the "Healthy Legs Course." It's about a 10 minute walk away.
Don't forget to use the toilet before climbing
There are no shops or vending machines on Mt. Tado, so be sure to stock up on drinks and food at supermarkets and convenience stores along the way before you start climbing (of course, be sure to take your trash home with you).
There is a toilet in the parking lot, and there is only one place near the summit after you start climbing, so be sure to use it before you start climbing.
Climb Mt. Tado with your dog!

Small logs are also buried here and there to make it easier to walk on.
They are climbing happily while shaking their butts (lol)
■5th station 10:35
After about 20 minutes of climbing, you will arrive at the 5th station. The 5th station is a slightly open space withbenches, making it a good place to take a break.
My dogs lead the way with lots of energy (lol) Ifyou take pictures from the same perspective as the dogs, you can take pictures with a sense of dynamism!

■Lawn square 10:50
After climbing for a while from the 7th station, you will arrive at a grassy field. If you come this far, you're almost there to reach the top of the mountain. There are several benches installed in this square, so we recommend taking a break before the last spurt.
Let's line up and aim for the top.
Tado Sanjo Park is near the summit. A portable toilet is located near this sign.
■Top of the mountain 11:00
We have arrived at the top of the mountain! There is also a covered space at the top of the mountain, which is great on days when the sun is strong. The cherry blossoms at the top of the mountain are beautiful in spring.
This is the view from the top of the mountain. You can see the city of Nagoya from the top of the mountain. You can see the gate tower near Nagoya Station and Midland Square. I think Mt. Tado is the mountain in Mie Prefecture that offers the clearest view of the city of Nagoya. Enjoy the best view as a reward for your hard work!
Don't forget to keep your dogs hydrated. “Drinking water at the top of a mountain is something special!”
Humans also need rewards. There are no shops on Mt. Tado, so be sure to buy some before you start climbing.
He is looking at me as if he just ate a dumpling. Monkeys also live in Tadoyama. You can see if you're lucky.

TadoTaishaShrine
Northern forces
KuwanaCityWith a long history, Mt. Tado has been revered as ``Shintaiyama,'' the mountain where the gods are enshrined. Later, during the reign of Emperor Yuryaku in the latter half of the 5th century, the shrine building was built and continues to this day. The main shrine enshrines "Amatsu Hikone-no-Mikoto" and Betsugu annex shrine enshrines "Tenmoku Ichika-no-Mikoto", and since they are the son and grandchild of Amaterasu-Omikami, the deity enshrined at Ise Shrine, it is also called Kitaise Daijingu Shrine. It is an ancient shrine that has been famous for a poem that goes, ``If you go to Ise, you should also pray, but if you don't visit Ise, you will be lost.'' The ``Hakuba Legend'' has also been passed down as a divine horse that brings happiness. Visitors come to pray for a variety of things, including family safety, business prosperity, industrial development, traffic safety, warding off evil spirits, first shrine, safe childbirth, and praying for rain. The Ageuma Shinto ritual held on May 4th and 5th is a heroic ritual in which young jockeys run up a hill as one with horse and rider. It is one of the world's strangest festivals and has been designated as an intangible folk cultural property of Mie Prefecture.
