Have you tried it yet? Healing treasure HONZO area in TakiTown VISON

There are probably not many people who ask "What is VISON?" or "Where is it?", but there are probably not many who say they've been to the whole of VISON! They know about it! VISON is a large commercial resort in Taki TakiTown located almost in the center of Mie Prefecture, with good access to IseJingu and the Kumano Kodo trails. The facility is very large, and each area has its own concept. Broadly speaking, the themes are centered around "healing, food, and knowledge," and this time we experienced the "healing" area and the herbal medicine area.

⊶HONZO SPA⊷ Herbal Bath

The herbal medicine area was established as a place to disseminate joint research between Mie University and Rohto Pharmaceutical.

Taki has been a region where herbalism has flourished since ancient times as a habitat for medicinal herbs, and it is also home to the famous herbalist Noro Genjo from the mid-Edo period.

In this area, we offer beauty and health studies using traditional herbs that are closely related to Mie.

At the hot spring facility, original recipes are developed using herbs grown in VISON and the surrounding herb fields, and a variety of herbal baths are offered according to the season.

There are two baths, "Kouin" and "Suikyo", and the baths for men and women are switched depending on the day. Both baths have indoor and outdoor baths, and you can view the lush nature of Taki from the spacious baths.

Rest space ``Seventy-Nine Room''. A modern Japanese space with 72 bamboo trees.

There is also a facility here where you can experience mineral mist bathing. (Additional charge) Bathing in mist containing more than 30 types of minerals extracted from a rare geological layer called the "hot spring shale layer" increases metabolism, promotes sweating, and is also effective in relieving fatigue. Your skin will be plump and moisturized.

Kasaan: mixed reviews

After feeling refreshed from the hot bath, you're bound to get hungry, so we headed to a restaurant called "Kasaan Sanpororon" in the Honsoyu area.

This restaurant is supervised by Masahiro Kasahara of Sanbiroron in Ebisu, Tokyo, a Japanese restaurant that is so well known that reservations are always impossible to get.

This Japanese restaurant is filled with Master Kasahara's thoughts: "I would like to be a customer," and "I would like to help you create memories."

Kasaan is located at the highest point in VISON and offers the best views. From inside the restaurant, you can fully enjoy the changing seasons and the scenery at different times of the day. I visited during lunch time so I wasn't able to see it, but the best view is said to be the 30 minutes before sunset to the 30 minutes before sunset (according to Kasaan manager Azuma-san). If you would like to dine at Kasaan at that time, be sure to make a reservation.

For lunch, we had the "Kasaan Omakase Gozen 3,500 yen (tax included)". It was nice that it came with a seasonal hassun, main dish, meal set, and dessert♡ Youcan choose between meat or fish for the main dish. On this day, the meat dish was "Fried Chicken with Apple Sauce" and the fish dish was "Grilled Yellowtail with Shaoxing Wine and Soy Sauce". Since we visited as a couple, we naturally chose both.

The concept of the cuisine at Kasaan Sanbyoron is "delicious food made with familiar ingredients," and they are particular about using locally produced ingredients. They also pay special attention to the sauces, stocks, and seasonings they use, and offer a wide variety, including soy sauce combined with vegetables and fruits, unique grated daikon radish, mixed miso, and mixed vinegar. They also have a recipe book of seasonings supervised by Master Kasahara that can be made at home. It would be great to try recreating the dishes supervised by Master Kasahara at home!

Let's start with the hassun. Opening the two-tiered dish, we find seven appetizers: marinated salmon, steamed chicken, oysters marinated in oil, soft-boiled octopus, castella egg, simmered radish, and chicken liver simmered in soy sauce. All of them are carefully prepared and slightly strong in flavor, and are perfect for eating with rice or alcohol.

And now for the long-awaited main course. "Fried Chicken with Apple Sauce" is Kasaan's original sauce, and its sweet and spicy flavor goes perfectly with the fried chicken.

The "Grilled Yellowtail with Shaoxing Wine and Soy Sauce" is served with grated red daikon radish and lemon, allowing you to enjoy the refreshing fat of the thickly sliced yellowtail. The delicious sauce, unique soy sauce, and unique grated daikon radish make this a dish unique to Kasaan. The rice used is "Musubi no Kami", a rice donated to IseJingu, and the miso soup is from "Kuranoya", which is also available in VISON. Mie Prefecture is truly rich in ingredients.

The dessert is ``Chestnut Zenzai.'' This also has an elegant taste that makes use of the ingredients. It was a very satisfying lunch course 🍴

Temizuki Wellness Salon by TEUZUSIKI

The spa salon "Temizuki" is located in the Honso area. This is a salon produced by Sally Suzuki, a therapist who proposes ``reborn beauty'' that even heals your emotions. Here, I experienced a head spa using gemstones.

Essential oils are applied to the scalp, followed by a soothing emerald gem treatment.

This is an original technique that can only be experienced at Temizushiki, which relieves pressure on the scalp, skin, and base of the neck, as well as stiffness. It is neither finger nor machine massage, but the pleasant stimulation and the aroma of the oil will leave you feeling relaxed.

The oil is "luxe LOVE No.11". It has the scent of osmanthus and mint. It is effective for weight loss and anti-aging, and it seems to bring out your potential. (This oil is also sold at TEUZUSIKI.) The 30 minutes went by in a flash!

* Head spa 30 minutes ¥3,960 * Body 60 minutes ¥8,800~ * Legs 45 minutes ¥5,500 (For more details, please visit our website)

Herbal Research Institute RINNE

stands alone on the mountain in Oku Visson. They also sell carefully selected miscellaneous goods and offer organic and vegan dishes. This Japanese herbal tea cafe

There is a parking lot right in front of the shop, so it is convenient to stop by by car.

What I had here was a 3-kind tasting set with a vegan cookie assortment for 1,300 yen (tax included). From the left, they are Edaougi, Tsumihana, and Kusanoyukari.

branch fan Sweet scent like cinnamon. Easy to drink with roasted green tea base. By blending kumazasa and pearl barley, you can expect detox and purification effects.
Picking flowers A blend of feminine-friendly peony and yarrow. Relaxing shell ginger and red shiso for added flavor. Beautiful in appearance and with a mature flavor.
Grass A blend of Hokkaido's Akamaru thin cargo. Refreshing and relaxing effect. It also blends lemongrass, lemon verbena, birch, and moringa for a refreshing taste.

There are 3 types of vegan cookies.

🍪Cookie material
〇 Enamel rapeseed oil cookies Local flour, raw sugar, rapeseed oil, salt
△ Salt Koji and Almond Cookies Ground flour, raw sugar, rice oil, almonds, salt koji
□ Whole wheat cinnamon cookies Whole grain flour, raw sugar, rice oil, soy milk, salt, cinnamon, white sesame seeds

These cookies are made with a gentle sweetness that does not interfere with the flavor of Japanese herbal tea, and are vegan (does not use animal products) and organic. They also use raw sugar, which is made from sugarcane. It is a healthy raw sugar that is left over with a low degree of refinement. It's great that they are both healthy and delicious 😊

In addition to tea and cosmetics, the store also has many other items related to "comfortable living" carefully selected by the staff. Be sure to check out the delicious seasonings and other unique products.

When we asked staff member Asuka Minami, who told us a lot about Honso Kenkyusho RINNE, what her number one recommendation was, she gave us the wonderful answer, "Of course we love the tea and sweets, but we also want you to enjoy the space of the cafe and the view from the window." It's true that there are many delicious things to eat, but the unique atmosphere of this cafe is sure to provide the most relaxing and luxurious time.

While running a transportation business, I suddenly got my hands on a drone and fell in love with it, so I started a drone business. Currently, we use aerial photography to convey various charms and individualities that cannot be seen from the human perspective.
I have a deep connection with Mie Prefecture both in my private and public life, and I learned that there are many attractive things, things, and places. I would like to convey the charm of Mie Prefecture from a perspective that is not usually seen, and deliver the desire to "go, learn, and feel"!
