Kamagatake is located in the central part of the Suzuka Mountains, south of Mt. Gozaisho. There is a beech forest on the northeast slope near the peak of the mountain, which is over 1000 meters above sea level.
This beech forest is a typical forest on the Pacific side, but at the base of the giant trees, you can also see plants from the Japan Sea side where there is a lot of snow, such as Himemomechi and Hainugaya, making it a rare place where plants from both cold and warm regions coexist harmoniously. Showing flora.
It was designated as a prefectural natural monument on January 11, 1963.

You can view and edit the sightseeing route (My Plan on My Page) that will take you around the selected spots.
