A primeval forest of deciduous broad-leaved trees, mainly beech, spreads near the summit of the mountain, which is 852 meters above sea level.
There is a forest of giant cedar trees that are hundreds of years old, and you can feel the charm of deep mountain nature firsthand. The only area that retains its original vegetation is near the top of this mountain climb.
This is a typical Japanese beech-sycamore complex. In addition to beech, the tall tree layer includes fir, hemlock, Quercus oak, Japanese maple, red hornbeam, and hormonal tree, and the sub-tall tree layer includes shiraki, Japanese twig, plover tree, witch hazel, and other trees. In the shrub layer, there are plants of the Ericaceae family, such as rosacea, white palm, azalea, and rhododendron, as well as Tannasawaftagi and Tsukubaneutsugi.
It was designated as a prefectural natural monument on December 5, 1956 (S31).
