Miyashijidake

A mountain with an altitude of 946 meters that belongs to the Suzuka Mountains.

It is said that the name ``Kushiro'' comes from ``946,'' which is 946 meters above sea level.

There are two routes to the summit of Mt. Miyashijidake, the ``Kawarakoba Valley Route'' and the ``Yakegi Valley Route,'' but both routes have many repeated ridges and streams, making the climb worthwhile. There is a rock named ``Tokai Observation'' just before the top of the mountain on the ``Yakegidani Route'', and it is a spot with a great view of SuzukaCity and Ise Bay. Also, you can clearly see the large rock called ``Santai Butsu Rock'' from there.

Near the summit, on the Shiga Prefecture side, you can see a rock wall shaped like a horse's back called ``Uma-Nori-iwa,'' and in autumn, the area is also a sight to behold with its colorful leaves.

If you have the time and stamina, you can head north along the ridge from the summit to Mt. Nyudogatake, or south to Mt. Sengatake.

You can view and edit the sightseeing route (My Plan on My Page) that will take you around the selected spots.
