A sacred beach ShirongoFestival is held.
Before the festival, Ama divers clean and purify the area.
Fishing is prohibited except on festival days.
For this reason, the ama divers continue to fish even after the abalone offered as an offering has been caught.
The turban shells and abalone that are caught are sold on the spot, and the usually quiet beach is crowded with onlookers and photographers on these days.
