Founded in the first year of Keio. Yokitsuzuke Miyazakiya has been making Iga's specialty "Yokitsuzuke" for six generations using the family's traditional fermentation method.
We remove the core from white melon, a specialty of the Iga Basin, and stuff it with finely chopped shiso, ginger, radish, etc., and sell it with Yokitsuzuke Miyazakiya Co., Ltd.'s ``Tamari Soy Sauce'' for two years in the old flavor and in the new flavor. These pickles are naturally aged for one year. The origin of ``Yokitsuzuke'' is that the lord of the domain, TakatoraTodo, kept it as food during his battles, and it was said to be a pickle that nourished the morale of the samurai, in other words, it was named ``Yokitsuzuke.'' It is also said to be a ninja's portable food.
