The principal image is Fugen Bosatsu, which is a nationally designated important cultural property.
Fugen Bosatsu is a 92cm tall statue made from a single camphor tree, dating from the early Heian period.
People of the Edo period revered this figure, which had a mysterious yet familiar feel to it, as the epitome of beauty.
