Legendary mountain pass related to Amaterasu Omikami
On the old Wakayama Highway, the legendary mountain pass associated with Amaterasu Omikami is called Mezurashi-togePass. ``It's dark even during the day at Mezurashi Pass''
It is said that it came to be called ``Mezurashi Pass'' because Amaterasu Omikami and Amagoyane no Mikoto met and said ``Oh, Mezurashiya!''.
It is also a place where you can clearly see the stone stones from the legend that Amaterasu Omikami threw into the river to mark the borders of the country.
