Hojuji Temple

A temple of the Tendai Shinsei sect located near the center of Hisai TsuCity.
The ``Stone Jizo Bodhisattva Seated Statue'' in our collection has been designated as a tangible cultural property of the prefecture.
In addition, in the Taoyuan area, there are three Jizo stone Buddhas dating from the late Kamakura period, 1314, and these three are sometimes called the Brothers Jizo.
