ItsukinomiyaHallforHistorical Itsukinomiya Rekishiikenkan
You can experience the Heian period, when saikuu was at its most prosperous. The building is modeled after the ``Shinden-zukuri'' style of aristocratic residences from the Heian period, and takes advantage of the architectural techniques of the time and does not use nails in assembling the parts.
Inside the museum, in addition to holding hands-on classes where you can learn about the annual events, techniques, and culture of the time, you can also try on Juni-hitoe and Naogi. You can also try out ancient games such as board sugoroku and shellfish.
You can view and edit the sightseeing route (My Plan on My Page) that will take you around the selected spots.
