Gokasasayama Castle is a 140m high mountain on the border between Furue and Asagara, and Sasayama Castle was the base of the Noro clan (Hatase) for generations. It is said that Noro Ujitaka built his first castle here from 1264 to 1273 after coming to Sasayama from Ueno Province (Gunma Prefecture).

Founding date: Kamakura period
